The Epic Quest for a Career Driven Team vs. the Monotony of Being a Regular Joe Shmoe…

Michelle and I embarked on a two-day training journey in Utah to enhance our skills on a cutting-edge platform. As part of The Fermin Group, we are well known for our dominance in the industry, our reputation speaks volumes, bolstered by impressive numbers and glowing reviews. I firmly believed that we were at the forefront of the industry, unrivaled in our performance, thanks to our reliable team lead, our mutual support, and an unparalleled company culture.

During our time in Utah, the first day of training followed the usual normal basic setup: a dimly lit hotel room, a single projector screen, and long tables for note-taking. The trainers dove right into the fundamentals of their platform, demonstrating how they leverage it to streamline their operations and achieve outstanding productivity. My notepad was filled with valuable insights. After an exhaustive day, I couldn't help but notice that time seemed to move slower in Utah, though I remained unsure of the reason behind this phenomenon. But nonetheless we go through the day.

The trainers informed us that we had completed the first day of mastery, promising an opportunity to witness their platform in action the following day, live at their office. Thrilled by the hands-on prospect, I eagerly inquired about the specifics. To put it simply, we were invited to observe their team in a real-life setting, unveiling their strategies and demonstrating how the platform turned them into superstars.

Filled with excitement, Michelle and I ended the day exhausted from the jet lag caused by our cross-country journey. After an early dinner, we decided bed was the best course of action, whereas I, being a night owl, stayed up much later, unknowingly setting myself up for consequences of a struggling morning the following day.

The second day of the training arrived, and I woke up early, ready to dive into the day's activities extra tired of course. We enjoyed a hearty breakfast before heading outside the hotel, where shuttles awaited to transport us to their office. With eager anticipation, we embarked on a twenty-minute drive to our destination. As we entered, we were instructed to find our seats and settle in. Among us were the trainers' own agents, joining the team meeting.

Little did I know of the surprises that lay in store. The meeting kicked off with Justin, the team sales coach, exuding a contagious energy reminiscent of a ball of fire fuelled by five-hour energy shots and pure magic. To commence the gathering, he insisted that everyone stand up and reach for the sky, urging them to answer ONE simple question: "Are you ready...?" The response, expectedly, had to be affirmative, accompanied by enthusiastic screams. The room was packed, and Justin commanded the complete attention of every individual present, with not a single person glancing at their phone throughout his speech. The proper respect any amazing coach deserves.

Proceeding with the mastery, they revealed their business practices, highlighting their impressive metrics and expressing gratitude to their own team members whose contributions had led to their remarkable success. They truly exemplified a unified and cohesive unit. Michelle and I left their understanding what we needed to next. Not that we weren’t already great, but that we can be even greater. And that was the sole vision all the way back from Utah to Boston. We spent the entire red eye flight brainstorming and analyzing everything we needed to do to be better and level up even more.

The team already knows how crazy Michelle and I are individually, but when we get together it’s pure magic from each other. We speak the same language we have the same mission and goals. So when we got back and started letting everyone on the team know we were to change things up, they already knew what was coming. More craziness, in a good way of course. So what is all this rampage about? Well it’s pretty simple, when you're looking for a team in any business you need to find the top tier team that is willing to do whatever it takes to be the best. You need a leader that shows up and does what they say they are going to do and also be open to all the new crazy ideas that I may come up with. Find the people that speak the same language because it will make it easier to reach your unspeakable goals, and achieve dreams you couldn’t even dream of.

While a regular Joe Shmoe realtor is literally just that a regular joe shmoe, no one wants to be regular. Especially if you truly want to succeed. You know you can be better, everyone knows this its only a matter of your will to do so.

So, How bad do you want it ?
