Learn the process!

So many people have goals of many many things, but that's all they are, goals that are in the distance and I mean a very distant dream that they themselves don't believe they actually can achieve. Now I'm a big dreamer I love daydreaming of what my life could be if I had this or that. Now there is one thing that I want you all to know. The only way to have your goals or dreams actually happen is with the following instructions:

  1. Imagine yourself achieving that goal, get so specific as to what exactly that goal looks like. If it's a house then pick the colors of your front door, the shutters, does it have a pool, basement, Mancave, or she-shed? Whatever your dream/goal looks like get REAL with it.

  2. Look up that dream/goal and see what it will cost you to get there. Now, this is something that I don't want you to freak out about. Especially if you are NOWHERE near where you need to be to get there. Again this is your dream/goal and they should scare you a ton! But if achieve it will make you happy to see that it's real.

  3. Do your research on what you need to do to get there, what are the requirements of buying a home, how much money do you need to be making in order to afford this home. What does your credit look like now, and where does it needs to be to qualify. If you need to speak to a professional about it for consultation there are plenty of places you can go to do so.

  4. Create a road map on how to get you to your first step in the process. If you need a better job then start looking, if you need to pay your bills and raise your credit then get to it. If you need to save some money for downpayment open a savings account. If you have a 401K or a favorite relative that is willing to help, get these conversations started so they know you are interested and really serious with what you want to achieve.

  5. Once you see your road map start setting smaller goals, daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual goals. Make sure you align your daily habits with the main items that need to get done on a daily or weekly basis to reach your smaller goals.

  6. You have finally reached a point where you can start seeing your goal as something that you can actually achieve! That is when you see yourself as the game changer of your life. Reach out to a professional that is willing to guide and educate you throughout the process to continue to show you what needs to be done to get you where you want to be. Stay Focused.

  7. Don't let the haters or the negative family members that can't share your dreams with you, they don't matter at this point. Never let them ruin what you want in your life. It's your life, not theirs to live. Don't stop until you get there!

I have never met someone that hasn't failed at something, and you will always fail at certain things but if you want it bad enough nothing will actually be able to stop you. If there is a will there will always be a way to achieve the things you want in life. Homeownership is something that everyone should have a right to achieve with the proper guidance you can achieve anything.
